What a Day!

Kalli showing off her teeth Riley is a proud new cousin
I loved this picture and what her little shirt says

Last Thursday was an early night for the Johnson family, we had to get up to get Kalli to the dentist and take Riley to my cousin's so she could watch him while we were there. We had an early dinner then off to bed. Then at 12:30 a.m. we get a call the one we have been waiting for, but did not expect, Ashley's water broke and they are headed to the hospital to have the baby.

So we got to the dentist and they came to distract her by offering her 4 prizes then let her pcik them out of the basket. Then put what they called a "dart" in her arm, which pretty much knocked her out after just a few seconds and then we handed our 4 year old over to them and they took her away saying "see you in about 45 minutes". I looked over at Jett and well...let's just say he was a wreck. They came and got us to come back and sit with her until she woke up, we sat and talked to the sweet nurse who we later found out knew Jett's sister and my brother so that made time pass a bit more quickly. She kept telling us it usually takes 30-45 minutes for them to come out of it, and just as she said 45 minutes and she started to wake up. We had a ton of laughs just watching her come to. Meanwhile, my Mom and Dad are texting me saying Ashley is at a 5 and they expect her to be fully dialated in about 5 hours. We left and went to pick up Riley (thank you again Tracy for watching Riley, he had a blast). I was thinking I had plenty of time to get Kalli more "sober" before heading to the hospital. We get home and get a call that all of a sudden Ash is at a 9.

We finally arrive at Salt Lake Regional (remember I live in Herriman and this is on 100 So. 1000 E.) to say a quick hello and good luck when they kick us out of the room so she can begin pushing. We walk outside made a quick run to the hospital store to get batteries for my Mom's camera, just in time to get back see the Doc walk into her room then 10-15 minutes later we hear the baby crying and let me tell you she sounded ticked, it was hilarious. It was such a great and crazy day, needless to say, Kalli did great and does not remember anything, except that the nurse promised her 4 prizes and she only got 2. Ashley who never thought she would get here, gave birth to Bostynn Nicole Hutchison 7 lbs. 11 oz. and 18" long. I just think it is so crazy my baby sister is now a Mom, wow I remember when she was born I feel like that was not that long ago. Congrats to Ashley and Loni!

*A huge THANK YOU to everyone who gave their kind words of advise to me!

I am so glad Kalli survived her ordeal. It sounds like she had fun and probably won't brush her teeth on purpose just so she can get her prizes :0) Please tell your sister CONGRATULATIONS from us. She is a beautiful baby - she looks so perfect. I hope everything went well. I can't wait to meet her in person. Congratulations to you too for being an aunt.

do you ever talk to anyone else on the soccer team? I just went to dinner with Berly, Jenna, and Cami last night. It's always fun to see them. I also see Heather Cox occasionally at the indoor place and I ran into Devyre at a restaurant a few months ago. I'm glad I found you blog stalking. :)
