Well I have to tell you that I am one of those crazy ladies that get up early the day after Thanksgiving and go shop [(no not the one that pushes and lays on top of things :)]. I went for the first time last year with my neighbor Kelli and had the time of my life.
So I went again this year with my friend Marisa, we left about 4:30 a.m. and our first stop was good, old Wal-mart - let's just say that was a complete mad house but we checked out in about 10-15 minutes, and pretty much got everything we wanted.
Next, we went over to Kohl's...we noticed the parking lot was full, this is not unusual. Then, we got into the store and noticed there were no carts in sight, don't you worry you think we would have ran but heck no...So then we saw all these people just standing in the isles, down the middle of the store, you guessed it - the check out line, which wrapped around the entire store. Here comes the extremely smart part... we immediately jumped in line and then each of us took a turn doing our shopping. So picture us in line with no cart our arms full and stuff and then on the ground we are kicking the rest that we can't fit into our arms with our feet every time we moved, the cute ladies in front and back of us (with carts) were helping all they could. We see this big tower that they usually put sale stuff on with about 2-3 items on it, oh did I mention it is on wheels, so we decided to take those few items off and use it as our cart. Everyone around us thought it was a great idea, but one big problem people kept coming up and shopping off of our tower, I had to keep telling them this was our stuff we are just using it as our cart. So 2 Kohl's employees come up to me, of course, while Marisa was shopping and were giving me crap so I asked them what they wanted me to do without a cart...long story short they ended up giving us this huge box to put our stuff in and you bet we filled it right on up to the top so now we are having to push this huge, old box full of stuff. We got in line at 6:15 a.m. and checked out at 8:30 a.m. - So the moral of the story is...I got my morning workout! No just kidding (but I really did) I got all my shopping done for a killer deal and am the happiest person on the planet, yea!

You are brave! I used to go shopping with my mom on Black Friday, I witnessed some cat fights. meow!
I am totally jealous that you are all done shoppng... I haven't even made up a shopping list! But my cards are stuffed and waiting for postage. ;)
Brave girl. I'm impressed.
Next year I'm there!
You are so much more motivated than me. The thought of me waking up that early makes me cringe. I just can't do it. Good for you though. Next year I'll just send you with a list of things I need, cool? :)
goodness.. Sounds like you made a real haul. I love a good deal, and I am thinking I may have to do Black Friday next year.
ps... just a teacher again.. not in the presidency. Thank goodness!
Shopping and a work out all at once? hmm... maybe I need to try the black friday thing. I heard that Kohls was definitely the place to go:)
