Send a "Thank you" card...

I received an email from a good friend this week and thought I would post this link on my blog. Check out this website it only takes just a minute to send a card, it looks like it is legit to me but you be our own judge.

Whether you agree or disagree with the war there are still people who are serving our country and putting their lives in harms way every day, I think the least we can do is to take a minute to send them a quick "Thank You" card for their sacrifice. While you are there take a quick peak at the "letters from the soldiers" there is a really neat music video.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to take a minute and wish you all a very wonderful Thanksgiving. I am so grateful for all I have been so very blessed with great family, friends, a home and this country we live in.

I know I said I was going to write what I am thankful for each day and obviously that got pushed to the side for a bit because last week was just a crazy one, so I don't want anyone to think I am not grateful....so here I go again...

I just wanted all my friends, old and new,to know how much you each mean to me. I feel so lucky because I feel I am surrounded by the best, you each have taught me so much I truly hope you know that. I can not mention each by name because then it would be way to long, but I know I am better person in every way because of who I surround myself with. I love you all!

My family - Mom, Dad, Corby, Ashley and Loni...I love you all so very much and am so grateful for you all, thank you for all you do. My kid's love each of you so much and there is nothing better than to see each of you with them, I hope I can be like that to your kid's one day. It is such an honor to be your sister and daughter again thank you for a happy life! I love you guys.

The In-law's - We are celebrating Thanksgiving with you all this year and are looking forward to having a wonderful dinner. It is always fun to see the kid's running all over together, can't believe how much they have grown. Thanks for raising such a great son and brother, so we can have such a wonderful husband and father. Love you all.

I already wrote a post about my husband and kid's just in case you were wondering why I left the most important out this go around. I wish you all a great day hope it is surrounded by family, friends and of course great food!

Today is a struggle!

Today I am having a hard time trying to find something to be grateful for, and I guess that is exactly when I need to be grateful...now let me explain this first line. Yesterday Riley came home from school very upset because he said an older girl came up to him while he was on the swings at recess, he was also saving one for a friend - I guess he had been waiting for the swings to be free for awhile. He told me she got mad at him and told him to get off then she went to get a "guard" (as he called the lunch lady), that older lady was very mean and told him to get off now! So he was just bawling and sobbing saying he was not doing anything wrong just waited his turn then got into trouble and now he says he never wants to go back, I had to be so strong for him and not break down myself because there is nothing worse then seeing your child so hurt and upset. I know this all sounds crazy and why can't I be grateful, but I am just upset - he had a rough beginning of the year last year in kindergarten due to a bully so I just really wanted him to have a great experience this year and am frustrated with the lady that she did not take the time to talk to each of them to solve the problem before just yelling. I know kid's will run into things here and there but my heart has just been ripped open.

Okay so here I go... I am thankful for teachers and those who work in the schools, they don't get paid enough for all their hard work and efforts. I truly appreciate all those who have ever taught my children it is a huge responsibility but one that is the most rewarding. Thank you to all those who teach!

I am grateful for my...Dad!

Today I would like to take a minute to say how much I am grateful for my Dad. He is probably one of the best people I know in my life and the best example. He has done so much for me but the best part is he loves me unconditionally ( I am a high maintenance person and tough to love sometimes...so sorry). He has a heart of gold and is constantly doing things for others. I love that he has a quiet confidence about him, but trust me you do not mess with him or his family. He is such a wonderful Grandpa, and it shows my kid's think he is the greatest and can fix anything, and I mean anything! I love you Dad and am so happy I am apart of your family. If I had the opportunity to choose who my Dad would be I would choose you a million times over. Thank you for giving me such a happy life!

Week of giving THANKS!

I love this time of year, the excitement of the upcoming holidays, so I am taking an idea from my friend Allison's blog - each day this week I am going to blog about something I am grateful for in my life.
To start I am very grateful for my little family. I can't even put into words how much they each mean to me, I would be lost without each of them. Who knew that your kid's could possible teach you more then anyone else in the world can, they love the little things and it is great to be able to experience life through their eyes. I know the world would be a much better place if we all humbled ourselves as a child. I am grateful for my husband who works so hard for us. I am grateful for his motivation in life and his personality. I am grateful we all are healthy and happy!
p.s. We just had our family pictures done. I really want to do Christmas cards but I can't decide on which pose I like better HELP! (the one on the title of our blog or the one I posted with this entry?)

Happy Birthday Kalli!

Kalli I can't believe you are 4 already! That time went so fast I get so sad that you get bigger everyday but with every day you get more fun and beautiful. Thank you for making my life so much more full, you remind me every day to enjoy life, laugh and play. You are such a sweetheart and love everyone around you especially your brother, the best thing is to know that you two always look after one another - I hope it will always be that way. You are so grateful for everything and make our home a much better place than it ever was without you. It is such an honor to be your Mom. I love you so much and hope you had a great birthday!

Wrap up of October

I can't believe it but October is over already, how time flies! Here are a few fun Halloween pictures of the kid's. Kalli was a pink poodle named Fi-Fi and loved every minute of it, she really became a dog! Riley was "Captain Jack" he loves those Pirate movies, he looked so cute and loved having his face made up! I know it is a huge surprise...Jett got in on the action as well (he does any chance he gets wether it is Halloween or not) so here he is dressed up as a women, he says he is me but last time I checked I was a blonde & he is with our neighbor Jason they love to dress up as you can tell.
